Terms

Basis of Contract:

  • Any goods hired are hired subject to availability at the time required by the customer. The supplier will not be held responsible for any inconvenience to the customer due to the hire goods being unavailable for hire due to circumstances beyond the supplier’s control.

  • Nothing in this contract shall limit or exclude any statutory rights of the customer. Where the customer is acting as a consumer any point marked with an asterisk (*) may, subject to determination by the courts, have no force or effect. For more information about your statutory rights please contact your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

  • The amount of all deposit, rental and/or charges for any services shall be as quoted to the customer or otherwise as shown in the supplier’s current price list. If a deposit is required for any hire goods, it must be paid in advance of the customer hiring the hire goods. The supplier may also require an initial payment on account of the rental of goods in advance of the customer hiring the hire goods.

  • The customer shall pay the rental, charges for any services and money for any products and/or any other amounts payable under contract to the supplier at the time and in the manner agreed.

  • It is essential under the terms of the contract that the customer completes any payments on time. Payment shall not be deemed to have been made until the supplier has received either cash or cleared funds to the full amount outstanding.

  • *If a customer should fail to make any payment in full on the due date the supplier may charge the customer with interest on the amount unpaid at the rate implied by law under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

  • *The Customer shall pay all sums due to the supplier under this contract without any deduction, counterclaim and/or any other withholding of monies.

  • If an account has been set up before any hiring is due to commence or payment terms have already been negotiated; and your event is then cancelled, you may still be charged a percentage of the original cost.


  • If goods are hired out to a customer, the goods must be returned on the agreed date in the manner agreed and in the same physical condition as it was rented out in. If there is any damage or loss of the hired goods then the customer shall be held responsible and full payment for the value of the damaged or lost item must be paid to the supplier.

  • Theft – If an item or items, worth more than a total value of £40, are stolen during the hire period, a valid crime number must be taken by the customer and presented to the supplier. If no crime number or sufficient evidence of theft is provided, the customer shall be charged the value of the missing items. For items worth a total value of less than £40, the customer will be charged a percentage of the cost at the suppliers discretion.
